Description
The bright colours on this fallen log on a misty morning struck my curiosty. A closer look shows orange wavy striations among lichen and moss growing on the bark. Unlikely to be caused by insects, they might be growth rings where the bark is worn down at an angle. It remains a mystery to be solved.
