Description
Common Loons are fish-eating, diving waterfowl found in lakes throughout Canada. Unlike most birds, their bones are solid making it easier for them to dive in the water. They are easily recognized by their haunting call and the distinctive head, neck and back coloration. The average life-span is from 15 to 30 years.
